BillBRO Baggins.

Chillin' on the shores of my collective subconscious.

It's a blessing and a curse that the band I'm absolutely nuts over right now has only four songs currently released. Denver, Co. husband and wife duo Tennis ride the general chillwave/indie summer aesthetic pretty hard (see: fuzzed out vocals, jangly guitars, etc. etc.) but they just do it so much better than anyone else in the game. I wish I had the elegant prose to describe them better, but I find the music speaks for itself. Recently signed to Jersey based Underwater Peoples Records which also holds Real Estate, Ducktails and Julian Lynch, they'll have a record out hopefully by the end of 2010/beginning of 2011.

The-Dream is killing it right now with his new album LoveKing which happens to be the best Prince album Prince never made. But I thought I would take it back to 2008 and unveil a track from the second half of The-Dream's album Love Vs. Money entitled "Right Side of My Brain". A lush, elegant, auto-tuned break up jam that double times as orgasmic ear candy. When I first started listening to The-Dream, it was out of novelty. In a sense no one really took R&B seriously a la R. Kelly's Trapped in The Closet but the more and more Dream started increasing his output it was in which the Music world was forced to acknowledge Terius Nash as a relevant and serious force in making good 'pop' music that could transcend musical genres. While The-Dream has gotten more face time in the scene, I find it hard to understand why he hasn't been recognized as the superstar he deserves to be. While your at it, check out the Drake jam he produces as well as guests on. Slayer.
